Cabin Trip

This week has not been the best week for the Frisco Colletts. In fact, I don't have much to report from the kiddos this week. They are both great crawlers now, and they will chase each other around and giggle- I'm still waiting to capture this on film (or whatever we call it now). They are both also becoming experts at emptying the toy box, standing in the windows (to look out in the backyard), and shaking the baby gates. The kids were excited this week to receive packages in the mail from Aunt Becky. Here they are opening their cute, new outfits. Thank you, Aunt Becky!!

The only bit of new news this week is that we have a physical therapist coming to the house to work with Harper and her torticollis. The therapist has been out twice in two weeks, and she thinks that Harper is making improvements. She does play therapy with Harper and then stretches her. She's also shown us somethings we can do to help her loosen up her tight muscles. We're working with her and we hope she continues to show improvement.

After a very long, stressful week, Tony and I were lucky enough to have a mini-vacation planned this weekend. We planned to go on this trip months ago, paid for everything, and then found out days before our long-awaited journey that Tony had lost his job. Thankfully, we decided to go anyway, and we are both very glad we did.  We had a fantastic job with our friends hanging out at a beatiful cabin with a stunning view. Tony and the men spent their weekend building fires in the fire pit, cooking, watching football, and shooting BB guns. The women spent their weekend working a puzzle (see below), playing games, eating the food the boys cooked, reading books, and taking naps- it was a much needed, low key rest. I am so very thankful for our awesome friends and a great escape.  We are also very thankful for Nana and Pop, who watched the kiddos while we were gone.

Nana and Pop had a much more eventful weekend than we did. They got to the house about noon on Friday, and by the time I got home from school at 3:30, the kids were already worn out from playing. Here are some of the pictures to chronicle our the kids' experience during their first weekend away from  Mom and Dad
