Today was a day of firsts for Miss
Harper and for our new little family of 5 (including Abby, of course). Below
are the pictures of our “firsts” today as well as a picture of our first outing
as a family of 5- a walk around the block (that took place yesterday, but who’s
counting?)
Harper’s first trip to the doctor was
our first car ride for all 4 of us and things went well; no major melt downs
and, in fact, we had two kids who then proceeded to sleep through most of the
other firsts of the day.
Harper looked great; we go back next
week for a weight check on the little one and the doctor was nice enough to
look at Jack while we were there. He has a little heat rash from us holding him
for 30 min after his feeding every time he eats. He falls asleep on us in those
30 min and sweats. The doctor agreed to refer us for a swallow study for Jack
in hopes that we can get his tummy troubles under control and not have to hold
him 30 min after he eats every time (8 times a day).
So, here are the other firsts that we
encountered today:
-First car ride the 4 of us
-Harper’s first trip to the doctor
-First public outing to Target
-First trip to the gym- shout out to the
Crossfitters doing the Open
-First time to be cooed over by
strangers (not in the NICU)
-First time to both fall asleep on mom
-And our first walk picture from
yesterday
-Oh, and the first time in 93 days that a Collett did not go to Plano Presby Hospital
We are ready for the many more firsts to
come!
