The twins are 34 weeks
developmentally today! As I mentioned yesterday, they started bottle feeding-
neither one is really sure how it works, but both are eager to try it out, and
right now, that’s all we can ask. When I came in this morning the nurse told me
the occupational therapist was going to come by today and take a look at the
kids, watch Jack eat his bottle, and give an overall assessment. Here are some notes:
Jack:
-took about 3 ml of his
bottle
-would latch on to his
bottle, but wasn’t quite sure what to do next
-we learned a little bit of
baby massage to get his GI tract going
-he looked good overall,
nothing alarming
Harper:
-didn’t try a bottle with the
therapist, so no observation there
-needs to work on flection,
so now has baby crunches to do every day
-worked on baby massage for
neck stiffness
-she looked good overall,
nothing alarming.
Oh, one more thing to brag on
Miss Harper today- she did not have a Brady today while her dad was holding her
(something that she hasn’t been able to accomplish since she moved to a low
flow cannula). Way to go Harper, keep it up!
Picture of the day goes to
Jack in his new pjs from his Great Granny Simpson- Thank you, Great Granny
