Jack and Harper had a big today with both
sets of their grandparents visiting to see their new room arrangements. It was
so nice to be able to sit with our parents and everyone talk together while we
fed, bathed, and took care of the babies. Tony and I each fed Jack a bottle and
he completed bottles for both of us (when I fed him, he scarfed down his lunch
in about 15 min). Harper also completed a bottle for Tony and they each
completed a bottle this morning for their nurse as well. So, eating was a big
part of our day and it went well. The
kids didn’t take bottles overnight- both slept through all their feeds- so
we’re hoping tonight they will be a little livelier and take a few bottles.
Remember, they need to take 8 bottles in a day to be eligible to go home.
In other news, Harper got a bath from
Mom and Nana today. She did a great job and slept through the whole thing, even
when we washed her hair. My dad got the fun part of the bath and got to swaddle
up a wet baby in a warm, dry towel and snuggle her until she was cozy- I think
he liked that part.
Now, Tony and I are rearranging
furniture, making a list of things we need to buy, and sitting down to explain
to Abby just what might happen in the next week. We will keep everyone posted,
please pray for hungry babies who want to eat bottles!
