16 Months Old

Our beautiful and very busy twins are 16 months old, as of yesterday. They have been learning so many new things and doing things that make us laugh and drop our jaws in awe everyday.  Here's a brief list of somethings I don't want to forget:

Jack:

-new favorite food is mac and cheese

-is still into Thomas and Friends

-carries around his toy plane and makes "plane noises"

-moves his arm and says "zoom" when asked, "what does Red Truck do?"

-likes to carry things around: balls, keys, my purse, shoes, cups

-can climb into the small rocking chair

-says the following words: "bye-bye" "hi" "up" "bird" "bubble" "dada" "yea" "more" "teeth" "ball" "oh"

-this month he got his first black eye (poor guy)

-favorite book right now is The Hungry Caterpillar

Harper:

-new favorite food is grilled cheese sandwich

-mimics putting on hand sanitizer

-uses "I don't know" hand motion at appropriate times

-smacks forehead like "oh no" when something falls on the floor

-has great comedic timing with hand motions or giggles or silly faces

-has learned how to stomp feet up and down

-likes to look into the oven window to watch what's cooking

-says "more" "mama" "dada" "uh-oh"

-favorite book right now is Curious George

Both kiddos also enjoy sitting on the window sill, playing in the backyard (something new to our house), playing with their Fisher Price "Little People" sets, and taking baths- those kids really like the water.

They are also both starting to interact with each other more everyday. They make each other laugh and they are both so aware of their sibling now. Harper watches Jack and if you ask her "Where is Jack?" she will take off down the hall to their room to find him. Here's a picture I took of the two of them while I was cooking dinner earlier this week. I couldn't have captured a sweeter moment; I'm sure I'll need photographic evidence that they did get along as they get older, but right now they are each other's best friend and it is so fun to watch.
