July 27th: Picture 27

My project for today was organizing the closet. It took about 3 hours and I now have 5 bags of clothes and shoes to donate and 5 bags of wire hangers to get rid of. I'm glad I've got it done, now I don't have it hanging over my head and taunting me everyday.

The skies high above the earth somewhere between Virginia and Texas on my way home.

Laura's bachelorette party at the La Grange Winery in Virgina. Kate, Sarah, Stacey, Me, Laura, Ali and Val all had an awesome time despite our bus breaking down and leaving us on the side of the highway for close to three hours. Everyone was great and Laura said she had a wonderful time, so it was a success!! :)

July 24th: Picture 24

Laura and her bridesmaids from left to right: Ali (her soon to be sister-in-law), Stacey (her sister and maid of honor) and me! Laura was nice enough to let the three of us stay with her for the weekend (I took advantage of her generosity and stayed 5 days!) This was our "get ready for the big party tomorrow" pose.

July 23rd: Picture 23

Laura and I had dinner with her good friend and former roomie, Emily (seen here). Dinner was good and we were very glad we chose a table inside because there was a down pour as we ate.

July 22nd: Picture 22

I'm back from my wonderful trip to visit Laura and I took the camera with me so the next few pictures will be of my trip! :) This is Laura opening her first wedding gift. It's a place setting of her china from her parents. The tea cup has white flowers around the rim, but the flash was too bright to see them.

Off to D.C.

I'm headed to D.C., actually Virginia, to visit my friend Laura and help her celebrate her bachelorette party! So, I won't be updating my blog again until Sunday night or Monday morning. I'm also taking the camera with me on my trip so get ready for some fun girls weekend pictures! :)

July 21st: Picture 21

Tony and I spent our night rooting the Rangers onto victory over those smelly Red Sox. The game was good, the seats were good, and I got to do the Byrd! :) (that's for you, Mom)

My new kicks! I'm ready to run in my new Brooks shoes. I know they look black and yellow but they're neon yellow and SFA purple. They're light on my feet and have nice arch support for my super high arches. I'm going to try them out tomorrow morning! :)

July 19th: Picture 19

FINALLY getting to sleep in our own bed after 5 days in Colorado, 3 nights camping upstairs because we didn't have AC and 2 nights in Houston. We were both so glad to be home!

Groomsman Tony, minus the scary mustache, and me at Casey and Jen's wedding.

July 17th: Picture 17

Andrew at Tony at Casey and Jen's rehersal dinner on Friday night. Notice the scary handlebar mustache Tony was sporting.

July 16th: Picture 16

This picture was taken before the AC man came to fix our unit. Notice that is not even noon and it's already 80 degrees in our house. What you can't see is that I had the upstairs air on and 4 fans running!

My favorite West girls helping me celebrate my birthday at Glorias. I had such a great time and I'm so blessed to have these wonderful ladies in my life!!

Frutti cup frozen yougurt in Frisco is now open for business! It's off of El Dorado between The Tollway and Legacy in the Market Street shopping center. Lauren and I decided to try it out and it was super yummy! The girls behind the counter were very nice and they had cookie dough and marshmallows as toppings...A+ in my book. If you're in Frisco, try it out!

July 13: Picture 13

Dinner with the Hodums after our plane ride. We had good Mexican food here in Texas because Colorado Mexican food is NOT good...yuck!

July 12th: Picture 12

Me and Tony in the Country Boy Mine, 1,000 feet into the mountain in Breckenridge, Co. Notice the drips on Tony's shirt; ground water from the snow pack 2 years ago was dripping through the mine and it was 42 degrees in there. Glad I brought my jacket!

July 11th: Picture 11

Eagles' nest in Silverthorne Colorado. This was at the edge of the neighborhood we were staying in called, what else, "Eagles Nest".

July 10th: Picture 10

Preparing for whitewater rafting on the Blue River. Notice the wet suit and long pants...it was chilly!

Back from Colorado!

We're back from our wonderful Colorado vacation. We stayed at a beautiful place in Silverthorne, thanks Hecks! We went whitewater rafting, biking, hiking, shopping, rode on a gondola, rode on a chair lift and took a mine tour. It was Tony's first time in the mountains and I think he really enjoyed it. The trip was so much fun and a much needed break from the heat of Texas. A special thanks to Mom and Dad Simpson who stayed with Miss Abby and watched the house for us.
So, most of our Pictures of the Day are from our vacation. Now that we're back, we'll update things daily. Hope you enjoy!

July 7th: Picture 7

Rudy's takeout for dinner tonight. It was a long day of work for Tony and house cleaning for me and takeout sounded awesome! Too bad my sandwich was so greasy that it soaked through the bag... :(

July 6th: Picture 6

A typical day for Abby. I'd like to think she's wishing me a happy birthday with her eyes. We tried different pictures, but who can pass up that face?

July 5th: Picture 5

Blowing out the candles on my 27th birthday cake. This is my favorite cake that my mom makes and was served at my family party the day before my birthday. Notice my little helper making sure I get all the candles out. :)

July 4th: Picture 4

Everyone gathered around the food at our impromptu 4th of July party. I'm pretty sure I ate my weight in queso and veggie dip! Tony did an awesome job grilling everything and I think everyone had a great time :)

July 3rd: Picture 3

The Ranger game with Laura and her man Miguel. We saw fireworks, ate a hotdog, sweated like crazy, and saw the Rangers win! :) It was a good night.

July 2nd: Picture Number 2

Abby eating her dinner. Today she had kibbles and boiled chicken (her first chicken) and, as you can see, she didn't waste any time getting to the bottom of her bowl! :)

July 1st: Picture Number 1

This is our attempt at a family portrait. I can't believe we even got Abby to look at the camera. Sitting on our couch; just a normal Wednesday night! :)

First Blog!

Hi everyone! Tony and I have decided to participate in a thing called 365 pictures. I got the idea from one of my facebook friends and I thought it was something worth stealing. So, Tony and I are trying it out. We missed the boat in January (obviously), but thought that starting on July 1st would be just as good (1/2 way through the year). So, we'll be posting our picture of the day and a little blurb explaining what's going on. I hope that this project will be fun and everyone will enjoy it!
